A new apartement building in the friendly neighbourhood of Korte Akkeren in Gouda. The building's mass is in accordance with adjacent buildings, with varying inclined and flat roofing. The local custom of three-storey buildings at urban corners is maintained. A refreshing variety on the local colour and materials palette was chosen. Because of the placement of PV cells the roof is supplied with an extra fringe. Parking space for multiple cars is provided by a recessed corner facade. The building is amply overgrown, and provides nesting space for the inner city bird population.
