Cycle along Van Tijen during OMD 2024

Hop on your bike and discover all of Willem van Tijen's Rotterdam monuments during Open Monumentendag.

On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September, the Willem van Tijen Foundation will participate in Open Monumentendag (Rotterdam). This weekend, everyone can follow our Willem van Tijen Cycle Route on their own.

• Follow the basic route from the Groot Handelsgebouw via the Kralingse Plas to Het Industriegebouw and the Parklaanflat.
• On the extended route, make a trip to Villa Raalte by Hendrick de Keyser Monumenten and to the Zuidpleinflat via the Erasmus Bridge.
• Both routes are also available on Komoot and Garmin.

You can also reserve a seat at the Rotterdamsche Zeilvereeniging (RZV) on Saturday at 13:00 and 15:00 for a special lecture on Van Tijen's high-rise buildings, giving a sneak preview of the upcoming publication and exhibition. Also the ideal time for a break with some goodies by the water.
