Phase 2 Akkerranden: first pile driven

The driving of the piles for phase 2 of De Akkerranden has started!  This marks the start of the realization of 31 new houses. In totality, Kokon has designed all 174 houses and the urban plan of the neighborhood. It is expected that the new phase 2 housing will be completed in the second quarter of 2023.

The development showcases a variety of brickwork shades with contrasting roller layers above the window frames. The rich facade detailing and distinctive features; such as the plastered facades in block bond, the curved top gables and the use of facade anchors are reflected in the design. Thus, the environment and the neighboring district were very important in the design process. Not only for the appearance of the residences, but also for the atmosphere and the experience of the entire neighborhood. Squares, green streets and the Brink therefore play an important role. Together with VORM Holding and BPD Gebiedsontwikkeling, we are completing the new dynamic suburb with terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses, social rent apartments, starter homes and, in this second phase, life-cycle friendly homes.
