Premiere Architones: on a musical world tour with Ron van Leeuwen

On February 7th, the enchanting premiere of the album Architones by Kokon's own Ron van Leeuwen was held. During this festive evening, the audience was taken on a musical journey along the world's most iconic buildings.
We are immensely proud of Ron and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Over the past five years, we were given a sneak preview on a regular basis, which made us increasingly curious. Interested as well? Listen to the full album on Spotify.
The mesmerising melodies and rhythms are the sonic representation of the soul of the world's most iconic buildings. They include the Groot Handelsgebouw, Notre-Dame, the Great Wall of China and Kokon's own Hendrik Baskeweg.
In addition to his daily work as an architect and urban planner, Kokon's director Ron van Leeuwen keeps himself busy composing music: "I could elaborate extensively on the connections between architecture and music, but it's only in the past few years that I've managed to actually establish a link."
