Refugee shelter for Ukrainians

For the large number of refugees from Ukraine, shelter is needed as quickly and as much as possible. Because we believe that everyone deserves a good home, Kokon has designed a new refugee centre, exactly one month after the start of the war. It consists of prefabricated units that are ready for immediate placement.

In the design, the units are placed at an angle, creating a sense of coziness. The construction consists of 14 units with 12 homes, in total there is room for 168 people. The addition of the units on the site also creates a sound barrier.

The friendly atmosphere of the site is ensured by retaining the existing trees and in time more greenery can also be added. The project will be realized as soon as possible so that more Ukrainians, and subsequently other refugees, can be welcomed.
