Korte Akkeren
A new apartment building for the cozy Goudse district Korte Akkeren, close to the historical centre. The design connects the mass to the surrounding buildings, where caps and flat roofs alternate. The local use to apply 3-layer building masses as an accent on urban development points is maintained in this plan. The materialisation is a refreshed variant of the color and material palette that characterizes the environment. The roof is provided with an extra edge to hide PV cells. Parking has been solved by providing the head of the building with a recess where several cars can find their place. The building has a large amount of vegetation and possibilities for birds to nest.
