De Rembrandt

At the southern edge of Oud-Beijerland, the Egmondtshof is situated. The area is surrounded by housing, dating form the nineteen seventies. The south side allows for a wide view of the surrounding 'polder' landscape. The existing buildings are functionally and architecturally obsolete, and not eligible for reuse.

The urban plan projects a care building and 68 commercially developed houses. The project has a parklike atmosphere, with attention to people who loke to stroll through their district and children. With the location situated in the midtst of a residential area, great care was devoted to the communication with surrounding residents. The plans were discussed at length and in harmony with all people concerned.
