Huis Hillen
At the Westeinde in the village of Ouddorp - where land ends and sea begins - an existing holiday bungalow was thoroughly transformed and expanded with an extra wing with bedrooms and a new living room.
Of the existing home, facades were modernised to comply with current standards, merging the house into the landscape naturally: a modernist, minimalistic villa in rugged terrain.
The interior is adapted befitting the family's size, resulting in a vacation home for the next 3 generations, for this pearl at sea to be appreciated to the utmost.
Materialisation was achieved using natural and weathered materials that carry the scent of the sea.
