JX Elderly Care

Elderly care center with semi-dependent apartments in the Jinxing area in Nanjing.

The project comprises of 200 apartments and 10,000 m² elderly care center. Care personnel can commute between the different care apartments via the interconnected plinth of the buildings, maintaining the lervel of care in all circumstances.

Parking facilities are also located underneath the buildings, to create an optimal environment for elderly citizens.

Landscape and the nearby lake are an integral part of the urban plan design. In China, the elements 'water' and 'mountains' are of eminent importance to urban planning design. This plan achieves that in an optimal way. Green elements play a large role in landscape design. Sustainable energy, landscaping and architectural design are also integrated.
