Landbouwbuurt
The district of Vreewijk is undergoing a metamorphosis.
The 214 new houses are distributed in a 23 storey tower, a wing of gallery houses, town houses and courtyard houses. The apartments are provided with outside spaces in the form of loggias or conservatories.
All homes are provided with their own parking spots in the parking garage underneath the apartment tower. The courtyard homes are built with arc shaped roofs which creates an intimate atmosphere for this unique court in this Southern part of Rotterdam.
The plan is built with a specially manufactured type of brick. This brick, which was named Kokonsteen (Kokon brick), has an abraded texture and a light ‘terra’ colour.
