Leidsche Rijn Centrum Kerngebied
Leidsche Rijn Centrum will become the new second city centre for the city of Utrecht.
The new city centre is designed in reference to traditional Middle European cities and is composed of enclosed city blocks, in which buildings are designed by a number of architects.
The core area comprises of 900 apartments, 40,000 m² of commercial space, 14,000 m² of office space and a parking garage with 2,000 parking spots. Kokon is the architect of the parking garage and underground service road and the coordinating architect for the entire superstructure.
