NLL building
The NLL building (Nationaal Luchtvaartlaboratorium – National Aeronautics Laboratory) building, completed in 1941, is a design by architects Maaskant en Van Tijen. The building has an impressive entrance hall and auditorium, a typical arc-shaped concrete roof, and is a successful combination of the 'shake hands' modern materialisation in concrete, steel and glass (Maaskant) and the traditional brick (Van Tijen).
The building still houses the institute that nowadays is known as NLR (Nationaal Lucht- en Ruimtevaartlaboratorium – National Aerospace Centre).
