Zonnegaarde

The former girls school in Zoeterwoude, designed by the father of famous Dutch architect Dom Hans van der Laan - is transfrormed into day care activities center for the Gemiva SVG groep. The dsign covers 4 large workspaces and several office spaces, restaurant and relaxation space.

The transformation's concept, with new passages and other enhancements being implemented in such a way, as to preserve the existing building's age and appearance. Addittion of facade-perforating elements that traverse the existing mass, allows a clear distinction between old an new parts of the building.
